Jean-Claude Groc, a committed volunteer!
Jean-Claude has been a director and then treasurer of the board of directors since 2010. He had succeeded his wife, Ruth, bringing his energy and vision to the Dianova project. He was a volunteer because he felt it was normal to help others, normal to feed the poor, normal to improve the management of community organizations. He thought that it is important to turn to others when one is safe and that it feels good to be useful, to put one's talents at the service of others.
Jean-Claude actively participated in board meetings and several committees; he helped to collect the social housing rents, welcoming everyone with kindness. He possessed his mission and had at heart the general interest.
Jean-Claude died peacefully in his sleep on October 9th, 2017 at the age of 79, leaving to mourn his son Jean-Philippe, his daughters Carole and Salina and his grandchildren.
The family generously invited people who recognize themselves in Jean-Claude Groc's journey to make "in memoriam donations" to Dianova Canada: Dianova-CanaDon.org
